A word about our judge!
We are fortunate to have Dr. Joe David Ross, from Senora, TX be our judge. He is well respected as a judge of not only Cashmere, but Angora goats as well. He has judged the VA State Fair, SVFF and Eastern Angora and Mohair Association Fall Show. Dr. Ross received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 1959, established a large animal practice in Sonora and ranched with his father and mother. He sold the veterinary practice in 1971 and began to ranch full-time, raising angora goats, cattle, sheep, boar, and cashmere goats. Ross has served as president of the Mohair Council of America, the American Angora Goat Breeders Association, and the Cashmere America Co-Op. We are delighted to have him travel east to judge our show!
